Ingrédients :

6 poivrons verts de taille moyenne
1 lb de bœuf haché
1 oignon haché
1 boîte de mélange Rice-a-Roni (6 7/8 onces), saveur espagnole
1 boîte de sauce tomate (16 onces)
1 cuillère à café de sucre
1 boîte de tomates (14 1/2 onces) (pour la préparation du riz)
1 tasse de cheddar râpé ou 1 tasse de fromage américain

Instructions :

Step1: Remove tops and seeds from peppers; parboil peppers for 5 minutes and drain.
Step2: Place peppers in a baking dish. Combine ground beef and onion and cook together until done. Drain and set aside.
Step3: Prepare Rice-A-Roni according to package directions. When rice is done, combine it with the beef and onion. Fill peppers with rice mixture.
Step4: Mix the 1 teaspoons sugar with the tomato sauce and pour this AROUND the peppers (not over).
Step5: Cover the baking dish. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes and then uncover and top with the shredded cheese.
Step6: Bake uncovered for about 5 minutes more to melt the cheese. Serve with the tomato sauce
